In April 2022, the implementation of the project Engaging youth a digital green future -[ERASMUS-YOUTH-2021-YOUTH-TOG]- 101051160 started. The coordinating body is DARNOJE from Lithuania, with partners the educational institution INERCIA DIGITAL SL from Spain , M L M D C C of Serbia and KDETYD from Greece. The main objective of the project is to support the role of young people in European politics, society and democracy by integrating and enhancing their participation and contribution to the goals of the European Green Deal and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals. Project management activities related to its coordination, management and control were discussed in the online meetings of the cooperating partners. Implementation activities, as well as strategic quality assurance and project evaluation.
In Huelva, Spain, on February 13 to 17, 2023, Inercia Digital implemented the Educational seminar for teachers/trainers who work with young people with the main goal of educating them on climate change issues and specifically on the European Green Deal. The 15 participants (youth workers, NGOs, partners) attended the first LTT of the Erasmus+ project Youth participation in a digital green future. During the training program the participants acquired basic knowledge about the European Green Deal project and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals, in order to achieve sustainable behavior but also to be able to engage in democratic life through EU policies.
The Days of Participation – Engaging Youth in Digital Green Future – Erasmus+ KA3 were implemented in Novi Sand, Serbia with the participation of 20 young people from the program partners, so that they understand and contribute to a more sustainable and environmentally aware world. Throughout the second LTT, they had the opportunity to learn about the 2030 Agenda, the European Green Deal, the Circular Economy, Local Activism, Sustainable cities and communities, biodiversity conservation, social equality, but also the influence of social media.
The result of the program with the participation of the 4 partners from Lithuania, Spain, Serbia and Greece is the awareness and mobilization of young people, the education on climate change issues and specifically on the recovery plan of the European Green Deal and the 2030 Agenda for the Sustainable Development Goals Development.
